Business owners are given higher points in comparison to senior managers. Business owners must have at least 33 1/3% ownership of the foreign business to qualify for points. |

| Education | Minimum Canadian high school certificate equivalent. |

| Business Investment | For Winnipeg Metropolitan Region (WMR) - minimum investment is $250,000 CAD.
Outside WMR - minimum investment is $150,000 CAD. Eligible businesses only as defined by Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program. Investment must create at least 1 job for Canadians and PRs. (Business owners and relatives excluded). |
| Business Research Visit | A Business Plan is required and is an integral part of the application. An Exploratory Visit is required. An exploratory visit allows the applicant to conduct extensive research of their future business investment or proposal. The Business Research Visit must be conducted no more than one year prior to the submission of your Expression of Interest (EOI). |
| Net Worth | Minimum of $500,000 CAD 3rd party verification required. Application submission max 120 days after receiving LAA. |
| Business Performance Agreement | After an application is approved, a Business Performance Agreement (BPA) must be signed prior to the MPNP issuing you a letter of support to apply for a work permit. |
| Residency Obligations | No set number of days provided but bona fide evidence to move permanently
to Manitoba is required. |
| Percentage of Equity | Business owners must have at least 33 1/3% ownership to qualify for points. |
